The launch of the Homeworld Remastered Collection is nearly upon us and the development team in charge of it at Gearbox is launching a new video for it which is focused on the second title in the space-based strategy series and the way it has evolved the formula of the first installment.

The development team offers information on the way it has upgraded the visuals, the audio and the overall effects of the game in order to make it appealing to modern gamers, but there are also details about the mechanics and their relevance to a new audience.

Homeworld Remastered Collection will give players access to the two core video games and will include both single and multiplayer.

Gearbox has said that it might consider creating a proper sequel for the series if the new bundle performs well on the market, but has not offered information on how the classic concept might be modified for it.

Homeworld impressed gamers when it was launched with the way it managed to capture the idea of a civilization that must flee through space and rely on limited resources in order to create fleets that can deal with a variety of challenges.
