The first development diary for the upcoming Homeworld Remastered Collection was released by the team in charge of it at Gearbox and the most interesting thing about it is the fact that a number of the original game creators are featured, offering details about the vision they had for the strategy title.

The 3-minute long footage shows some images taken from the new version of the title but there is relatively little hard info about the improvements that are being made.

Still it’s a pleasure to get more details from both Relic game makers and from those in charge of Homeworld Shipbreakers at developer Blackbird Interactive.

The new version of the title is designed to run on modern computers and to deliver improved graphics for fans of the two original titles.

Homeworld Remastered Collection will be launched on February 25 and can be played only on the PC.

At the moment, Gearbox is focused on the development of a new major Borderlands title, which is designed to be delivered on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

The studio has suggested that they might create a full-blown sequel for Homeworld if the remake manages to attract a lot of attention from the fan community.
