A re-release of last year's shooter may be coming soon

THQ has just listed for release the Homefront: Ultimate Edition, a presumed re-release of last year’s first person shooter.

Homefront was a decent game, with a unique premise of a unified Korea invading the U.S., but it didn’t really impress fans because of its very short single-player campaign.

Now, it seems that the game, at least in THQ’s eyes, warrants a re-release, as Eurogamer has spotted a listing for Homefront: Ultimate Edition on the publisher’s release schedule.

While no other details are known, it’s safe to say that this version of the game will come with all the multiplayer DLC that has been released for the shooter, including “The Rock” and “Fire Sale” map packs, and even the 870 Express shotgun.

The release date on the listing was March 31, right when the financial year ends, so perhaps we might see the game very soon.

While the original Homefront developer, Kaos Studios, was shut down by THQ shortly after the game was released, work on Homefront 2 is currently underway at Crytek UK.
