Gamers have the options of completing the game on their own

Homefront: The Revolution might have just been officially announced, but the developers working on the title at Crytek are saying that they are aiming to make it an interesting cooperative game experience despite the fact that the entire title can be completed solo.

Fasahat Salil, a game designer working on the title, tells Eurogamer that, “If your buddies are in the world with you, you don't have to be doing the same thing. The idea is that you come together to do something you all want to do - if you come across a mission you think is cool, or want someone to help you out.”

The balance of the new Homefront game will be automatically adjusted to make sure that it is not too hard for those who are engaging with it solo.

It’s unclear whether the cooperative mode for The Revolution will include meaningful incentives and rewards or whether it will just focus on the feeling of working with another human being.

Crytek believes that the Homefront game universe, which envisions a United States that has been defeated and is currently occupied by North Korea, can evolve into a long-term franchise.

The new Revolution title will be delivered on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and the PC at some point in 2015.
