Homefront: The Revolution, the sequel to the original Homefront game, has just been leaked by an online retailer in Sweden, confirming the name as well as the cover artwork of the title that will be developed by Crytek and published by Deep Silver.

Homefront appeared back in 2011 from Kaos Studios and publisher THQ, promising to deliver a bold first-person shooter experience that told the story of North Korea invading and enslaving the United States of America.

The result was a good enough shooter that suffered from a short story and a linear mission design. The money invested in the game's marketing, plus other bad decisions, ultimately resulted in the bankruptcy of THQ, but not before the company partnered with Crytek for a sequel. The German studio bought the rights to the series after the closure of THQ and continued working on the sequel.

Now, it seems that the game is going to be called Homefront: The Revolution, at least according to a listing on Swedish retailer FZ, spotted by OPM.

The listing included just a 2015 release date and the cover art above, showing what looks to be the evolution of the Homefront narrative, as U.S. citizens are now engaging in guerrilla warfare against the North Korean oppressors.

No other details are known, besides the fact that Deep Silver will be publishing the game, while Crytek is in charge of its development.

Expect some form of announcement sooner or later.
