The development team at Blizzard is delivering a new video for its Heroes of the Storm Multiplayer Online Battle Arena title, which is designed to introduce all those interested to the core mechanics of the game and the main concepts behind the recently launched technical alpha.

Community manager Kevin Johnson, aka Cloaken, is the guide for gamers and there’s a lot of information they can find out about the title.

Heroes of the Storm is at the moment open for a very small number of players as the team at Blizzard is looking to test the core mechanics of the game and see the kind of infrastructure that it will need in order to make the entire experience work.

The company has also delivered more information on how the various characters included on the roster, coming from Starcraft, Diablo and Warcraft, will be offered to the player using a free-to-play core model and the possibility to buy them with Gold.

The title does not currently have a launch date, but it will probably enter beta before the end of 2014, with a bigger number of players invited.

It will face tough competition from League of Legends from Riot Games, DOTA 2 from Valve and Infinite Crisis from Turbine.
