The upcoming Heroes of the Storm Multiplayer Online Battle Arena title from Blizzard is apparently set to use the business model that powers the rival League of Legends from Riot Games rather than DOTA 2 from Valve.

NeoGAF quotes reports from the South Korean press that explain that gamers will be able to purchase individual heroes that they will own forever or they can just play a limited selection that the studio is switching constantly.

When Heroes of the Storm is officially launched, those who have pre-ordered Reaper of Souls for Diablo 3 will be able to access a Demon Hunter for free.

It’s unclear whether the business model for Heroes of Storm will be the same in Asia as in North America or Europe.

The Blizzard MOBA will have to compete with already established titles and does not currently have an official launch date.
