The team at the Paradox Development Studios might have announced that Hearts of Iron IV is being delayed to the second quarter of this year, but the studio is still willing to deliver more information about the coming World War II-themed grand strategy title.

A new Twitch stream features members of the studio talking about the newly revealed internal politics mechanics and about other aspects of the title.

Paradox says that the National Goals are designed to be both historical and speculative and will give both the player and the Artificial Intelligence a chance to guide their country down at least two different paths, one which tends to reflect how the world actually reacted to events and another that promotes alternative outcomes.

The team says that this makes Hearts of Iron IV more varied than before and ensures that surprises, like a French attack when Poland is invaded, can take place.

Paradox is also offering more details about the various companies that can help with the research process and provide more flavor for the major nations.

There are plenty of other questions answered in the official stream.

The grand strategy title will aim to offer more choices than previous installments, with players driving the way their chosen country deals with the major events of the World War.
