Video game developer Destructive Creations is announcing that it is now planning to launch its controversial Hatred title on June 1 of this year, as the game is currently 99 percent complete and is getting a final polish pass.

The official site explains that "Fun fact is that we wanted to release it on May 19th, but our team will be occupied with playing The Witcher 3 at the time."

A new gameplay trailer for Hatred has also been offered, which contains some over-the-top violence and is not recommended for those who do not like the core concept on which the title is based.

The development team says that it will offer more information on the launch in the coming weeks.

Hatred is a video game that allows players to become a genocidal maniac who acts out on his ideas and begins a rampage in which he takes out civilians and police officers without any sort of respect for human life.

The entire experience is designed as a reaction to the trends to make video games more politically correct and more focused on their artistic value.

Hatred was initially banned from Steam Greenlight, but it was then re-instated.
