Halo: The Master Chief Collection is now out and some members of the community who have been playing it since launch are being forced to wait longer than normal for matchmaking, an issue which the development team at 343 Industries is at the moment investigating.

The official Twitter account for the company says that a fix is in development but does not offer any clear information on when it might be deployed or whether it will be entirely server-based or will require a download by the player.

The Master Chief Collection is a massive package which includes all the four core titles in the series, with upgraded visuals.

For the multiplayer side of the new Halo bundle, 343 Industries has introduced both classic and modern modes and a wide variety of playlists are available at the moment.

Matchmaking has long been an issue for multiplayer-focused titles and the developers need to eliminate the long search times as fast as possible in order to keep the community satisfied.

Those who get the Halo: The Master Chief Collection package will receive a unique code that allows them to get access to the beta testing phase of the new Halo 5: Guardians on December 29, which will include new modes and maps.
