Halo: Spartan Assault, the special game in the Halo franchise available for PC, tablets, and smartphones, will get a new update tomorrow, August 29, which includes quite a few tweaks, as well as new content like missions, and support for the Xbox 360 controller.

The Halo series saw the release of quite a few different games primarily across the Xbox and the Xbox 360.

With Halo: Spartan Assault, the series reached the PC after a lengthy hiatus, as well as tablets and smartphones powered by Windows Phone 8.

Now, the twin-stick shooter is getting a special update tomorrow, August 29, which will bring support for the Xbox 360 controller on the PC, as well as new story content, in the form of Operation Hydra.

The DLC includes five new missions, achievements, and unlocks weapons that can be purchased via microtransactions or through experience.
