The development team at 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft are delivering a new trailer for the upcoming Nightfall live action series based on the Halo franchise, allowing gamers to take a look at some new footage from it and to listen to some details about how the entire project was put together.

Commentary on the footage is offered by franchise director Frank O’Connor, executive producer David Zucker and actors Mike Colter and Christina Chong.

There are some teasers in the new First Look video for Nightfall which suggest how the story might develop for fans once they get access to the experience before the end of the year.

The live action series will be part of the major Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which will be offered only on the Xbox One home console on November 11.

The story will focus on Agent Locke, a manhunter whose origins will be explored ahead of his appearance in the new Halo 5: Guardians, which will be delivered on the same platform in late 2015.

Mike Colter, the actor playing the new character, has suggested that he will be the protagonist of the video game and that Master Chief will only appear about midway through and his allegiance will be unclear.
