Halo Franchise Director Frank O’Connor isn’t surprised by the recent leak of Halo 4 ahead of its official release at the beginning of November, as he believes it’s inevitable, given how many fans are eagerly awaiting the title.

Halo 4 was leaked over the weekend as more and more people started posting pictures of retail discs and even videos with gameplay from the long-awaited shooter.

One of the game’s creators, Frank O’Connor, isn’t surprised, as he expected such a thing because of Halo 4’s popularity, and he has emphasized that publisher Microsoft is doing whatever it takes to catch and punish those who have leaked it, while taking down any gameplay videos from YouTube.

"There are people putting the whole thing on YouTube," O'Connor told Polygon. "Microsoft is addressing that a single case at a time, it just takes a little while to handle.”

Until Halo 4 is officially launched on November 6, it’s better to avoid any YouTube videos and articles about its story.
