Microsoft has decided to re-release Halo 3: ODST onto the Xbox Live Marketplace as a downloadable game in the form of Halo 3: ODST Campaign Edition, which doesn't feature the competitive multiplayer mode from the original.

Halo 3: ODST delivered a new type of Halo experience focusing on an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper who relived the memories of his comrades in the city of New Mombasa.

Now, many years after the game's launch in 2009, Microsoft has decided to re-release the title in the form of a Halo 3: ODST Campaign Edition.

The new version costs just 1200 MS Points and requires 3.47GB of space, according to CVG.

It only includes the single-player campaign and the Firefight modes, however, as Microsoft apparently decided to scrap the competitive multiplayer from this new version of the game.
