Gunslugs is launching tomorrow for the PlayStation Vita handheld console, and Abstraction Games, developer of the port, has offered some details on the production.

Over on the PlayStation Blog, a special Q&A session with Rutger Janssen and Ralph Egas of Abstraction Games informs gamers of the difficulties of the adaptation process as well as the newly introduced features.

They state that the team has introduced leaderboards, Trophies and cloud saving to the game, as well as implemented localizations to different languages.

The team said that they were able to complete the process rather hastily, thanks to their previous experience with porting Hotline Miami, an endeavor which got them familiarized with some of the platform-specific tools and has allowed them to develop a toolset which eases the code transition between platforms.

In order to celebrate the PS Vita launch, all PlayStation Plus members will get a 20 percent discount for the title during the first week.

Orange Pixel games is the developer of the original Gunslugs, and another of their games, Heroes of Loot, will also be finding a home on the PlayStation Vita later this year.
