Arc System Works' fighting game Guilty Gear Xrd Sign is coming to the west sometime this fall, according to publisher Aksys.

The game will be localized and published by Aksys for both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 home entertainment systems. The publisher has a long tradition of bringing Japanese games to western markets, and now it's doing it again, as IGN reports.

The Guilty Gear series began its life back in 1998 and since then has taken over the hearts of many fighting game enthusiasts. Guilty Gear Xrd Sign is set after Guilty Gear 2: Overture, in the year 2187, and has a roster of 15 playable characters, including an all-new antagonist in the form of Ramlethal Valentine.

Arc System Works' flawless and creative 2D art and animation is one of the franchise's selling points, and Guilty Gear Xrd Sign is no different from its predecessors. It's the only game where you can play as a mad doctor that wears a paper bag on his head and smashes people with doors.

The game will also be playable at this year's edition of the E3 convention, where more information will surely surface. For now, the western release has only been officially confirmed for North America, with no word regarding if and when Guilty Gear Xrd Sign will reach Europe and other regions.
