Mike Zadorojny, the lead content designer at ArenaNet, says that his team wants to create an ideal MMO experience with Guild Wars 2 by making sure that players have something new to explore every time they log in.

He is quoted by PCGamesN as saying that, “That’s kind of been the holy grail for MMOs. If you can have enough engaging content, you keep the player excited and challenged.”

In 2013, ArenaNet announced the new Living World content for its MMO, which introduced new storylines that constantly changed the state of the game universe.

Player interaction and engagement are central to long-term survival for Guild Wars 2 and the newly opened up API is one way of keeping the player community engaged.

ArenaNet says that content for Guild Wars 2 will be launched every two weeks.
