The development team at ArenaNet says that Guild Wars 2 has a bigger install base than the company initially expected and that it will continue to get a lot of content over the coming months.

Colin Johanson, a game director, tells Eurogamer that, “Something people forget about a lot is that we’re already the fastest-selling MMO in history, so even if sales are declining a little bit, that’s on the fastest selling MMO in history. We don’t really have a problem with that.”

ArenaNet also has plans to launch Guild Wars 2 on new markets, including China, Korea, Russia, Southeast Asia and Brazil.

The MMO does not come with a monthly subscription and gamers only have to pay in order to get the core retail package and they can then play for as long as they want.

Guild Wars 2 is designed to create a complex world and give players the freedom to choose their own progression path through it.
