After confirming that more than 1 million people signed up to participate in the beta stage for its upcoming Guild Wars 2 online RPG, ArenaNet has now revealed that this testing phase will kick off sometime next month.

Guild Wars 2 is set to overhaul the MMORPG scene by offering lots of content and online adventures without forcing players to pay monthly subscriptions or fees. We’ve already heard quite a few things about the game, which is set to appear on the PC later this year.

Now, after seeing that over 1 million people signed up to try Guild Wars 2 out, ArenaNet has confirmed when the actual beta stage will kick off.

According to the developer, the testing starts in late March, when a certain number of players will be given invitations.

No other details were confirmed, but you can expect the beta to slowly expand and allow the 1 million registered users to try it out before the game’s actual release.
