Guacamelee, the delightful luchador-themed side-scrolling brawler from Drinkbox Studios that appeared earlier this year on PS3 and PS Vita, and then on the PC, is now headed to the PS4 and Xbox One next-gen consoles, according to a new report that's since been removed.

Guacamelee impressed quite a lot of brawler fans, delivering a complex fighting experience all set in a colorful side-scrolling world with a Luchador protagonist.

Now, after launching it for PS3 and PS Vita, and then for PC in the form of the Gold Edition, it seems that the game is heading to next-gen consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) as Guacamelee Super Turbo Champion Edition.

This is at least according to an IGN article, via AGB, that went up earlier today and which has since been taken down.

The new version of the game will have quite a few improvements, including new content scattered across two fresh worlds, new enemies, a special ability called the chicken-bomb, and an improved graphics system with enhanced particle effects.

Expect to hear more from an official announcement soon.
