Double Fine Productions' remastered edition of the classic PC adventure game Grim Fandango will also be coming to PC, Mac and Linux, in addition to the previously announced PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita platforms.

The original game's designer, Tim Schafer, took to Twitter to deliver the good news, and it appears that the adventure title won't show up late for the party on non-PlayStation platforms, which is very fortunate.

"Reap your heart out! We're pleased to announce Grim Fandango will also be available on PC, Mac, and Linux alongside PlayStation 4 and Vita," he said to the mounting roar of the masses.

Grim Fandango is arguably one of the biggest cult adventure games ever created. In spite of it not being a phenomenal market success, its refined gameplay and superb story have received universal acclaim and have lingered in the memory of many gamers.

During this year's edition of the E3 gaming expo, Sony delivered the good news of a remaster coming to the PS Vita and PS4, and Tim Schafer dropped a hint that there might be some additional good news coming in the near future, and here it is: Grim Fandango resurrected is also coming to PC, Mac and Linux.
