Keiichiro Toyama, who is the creator of Gravity Rush, has revealed via Twitter that he is working on a sequel to the game.

The title managed to get an award at the Tokyo Games Show and the developer replied to a congratulatory message from a fan by saying, “Thank you! I’ll do my best on the sequel.”

He then understood, apparently, that information about a sequel was not a public matter and added, “It’s a secret” when other people asked whether he could confirm that a new game was being worked on.

Gravity Rush is an action role-playing game that was launched on the PlayStation Vita in February in Japan and in June in the rest of the world.

The game challenges players to use gravity as a weapon as they battle enemies in a busy urban environment.

The game uses cel shading and is one of the titles that Sony used to show off the unique abilities of the Vita handheld.
