Developer Polyphony Digital and publisher Sony are announcing that gamers will be able to get hands-on time with the coming Gran Turismo 6 at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed, which will take place between July 11 and 14.

Demo pods for the racer will be offered for those who want to try it out, with partners Nissan, Alfa Romeo, Mercedes Benz and Ford present inside the stands.

Those who perform well in the demo for Gran Turismo 6 will also qualify directly to the United Kingdom national finals for the GT Academy.

Kazunori Yamauchi, the leading developer on GT6 at Polyphony Digital, will also be present at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and will race in a number of well-known cars.

The new Gran Turismo will be launched on the PlayStation 3 in the fourth quarter of the year.
