The teams at Polyphony Digital and Sony have revealed that their upcoming Gran Turismo 6 will include microtransactions and, as the racing game nears launch, actual prices for in-game currency have been revealed alongside the cost of the best cars in the title.

The PS Store is offering four types of packs for GT6:

500,000 credits for 4.99 dollars or Euro 1,000,000 credits for 9.99 dollars or Euro 2,500,000 credits for 19.99 dollars or Euro 7,000,000 credits for 49.99 dollars or Euro

One of the most expensive cars in the game, the Jaguar XJ13, will be available for 20,000,000 credits, which means that a gamer can get it as soon as he launches the racing experience, for 150 dollars or Euro.

Eurogamer says a statement from Sony maintains that the microtransactions are just an alternate way of progression and that all the content included will also be offered to gamers who never spend any real world money.
