14 DAY TRIAL // God of War: Ascension game director Todd Papy has decided to leave Sony Santa Monica and relocate to Germany. Gamers shouldn't be too alarmed as he stated “I haven't quit games.”
His reason behind moving to Germany is the desire to take on something new “We want to experience a different culture & all the wonderful things that Europe has to offer.”
On his Twitter account, he posted a message regarding his intentions as well as expressing his gratitude in working with the team from Sony Santa Monica “I'm extremely honored to have been part of that team. <3 you SSM”
For those who do not know, Papy has worked on the God of War series stretching back to 2005 when the first entry was released.
Moreover, it seems that although Papy is leaving, Sony Santa Monica has also had some returns. God of War 2 writer and director Corey Barlog have just recently returned after leaving the studio 6 years ago.
