Video game developer Lucid Games, Sierra and Activision are announcing that they are planning to launch a new version of Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions, called Evolve, on March 31 of this year, designed to introduce an array of new content for the title.

Gamers will be able to experience 40 new stages for the Adventure Mode, which also introduce new 3D grids, interesting boss battles, an innovative Sweeper drone, and a super ability called Detonator.

The new gameplay elements are set to make the entire experience more varied and to increase the level of competition among the players who are currently dominating the leaderboards.

The official announcement adds that Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved will also add "changes to the level progression system, making it easier for players to progress and unlock new modes. For the truly skilled, there’s the new 20 stage Hardcore mode that eliminates drones and supers and features its own dedicated leaderboards."

Those who already own the title will get all the new content for free via a big update, while newcomers will be able to get it for 14.99 dollars or Euro.

The title is offered on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, the PC and last-gen consoles.
