The development team at Stardock is announcing that the beta stage for Galactic Civilizations III is now live and is also delivering a new trailer for the game which is designed to show off some of the core features of the turn based title.

The new content added includes: specific tech trees for all races, a new system for the ideology concept, huge hulls for all ships, new colonization events, terraforming, improved map features, more planet traits, queues for shipyards and more.

The company states, “To all of our Founders, thank you so much for your early support. Elite Founders, your feedback and bug reporting has been invaluable in getting Galactic Civilizations III ready for a wider audience. Fire up your Steam client, and it should patch your install to the beta automatically.”

Galactic Civilizations III is a complex turn based strategy experience that allows players to choose one of the races who are competing for domination over the galaxy.

Each comes with its own personality and set of unique abilities and gamers will have to choose which victory condition they are planning to try and reach and then create an appropriate long term plan.

Galactic Civilizations III does not yet have an official launch date and will arrive on the PC.
