The team at Stardock in charge of the coming Galactic Civilizations III is announcing that it wants to offer a special Launch Weekend Ship Parts DLC set to all those who have already backed the game on Early Access, pre-ordered it or will get it before May 17.

The official launch of the turn-based strategy experience will take place on May 14 all over the world, with the game offered for pre-order on digital distribution at the moment.

The Launch Weekend Ship Parts pack will offer more options for the Designer area of the game, which allows gamers to create almost any type of ship they can think of from a wide range of options.

Galactic Civilizations III is a very ambitious game that builds on the core concepts of the two previous titles in the series but adds a range of new ideas and makes the Artificial Intelligence a much worthier opponent.

I have been playing the sandbox mode for a few days and I am very happy with the experience that it offers, with loads of choices for the player and a wide variety of paths to try and dominate the galaxy.
