In spite of the modest sales, Capcom is still supporting the recently launched game

Capcom is launching a narrative-driven content pack for its Nintendo 3DS action title Gaist Crusher, alongside the game’s first wave of post-launch Gaimetal toys.

In Gaist Crusher, developer Treasure pits players against large metal beasts, called Gaists. After defeating them, they can use their pelts like armor in their battles with other players and Gaists.

The new downloadable content pack focuses on the legendary Gaist Yamato, an almighty beast which the players have to face and defeat, as Siliconera reports.

It will be accompanied by three new Gaimetal toys, giving players access to additional armor sets. The toys will function with Gaist Crusher similarly to how the Skylanders ones do.

Gaist Crusher launched in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS earlier this month and is largely considered a flop, even though an animated series based on the game was already airing since earlier this fall.

The new Gaimetals and the side-story DLC will go on sale today in Japan.
