Developer Pinkerton Road Studios and publisher Phoenix Online Studios announce that Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers 20th Anniversary Edition is now available for pre-order.

The two also released a brand new trailer for the upcoming remake of the classic point and click adventure video game, showing off the brand new visuals and hinting at the events that take place in the game.

The remastered edition of the 1993 cult hit will include remade visuals, a recreated soundtrack, as well as several tweaks to gameplay and a couple of new puzzles.

The game follows a writer investigating a series of paranormal-related murders in New Orleans, with the storyline unfolding over a certain number of days, with players having to perform a certain set of actions before progressing to the next day.

Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers 20th Anniversary Edition includes real-life locations from the city, such as the French Quarter, Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral and Tulane University, and follows the titular character uncovering a disturbing truth about his true legacy.

The gameplay has also been altered for the remake, using the now standard context-based interface instead of the old action buttons and blind clicking on the screen, that was popular during the original's glory days.

Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers 20th Anniversary Edition is scheduled to come out on October 15, available on PC and Mac, with Android and iOS versions also in the cards.
