Phil Harrison, a vice president at Microsoft working on the launch of the Xbox One, says that future video games for the new console will be able to benefit more from the addition of cloud features as more developers understand its power.

He tells The Official Xbox Magazine that, “this time around, there’s the power of the cloud and what that means for game design. That can grow and scale indefinitely – of course there is a practical limit but in effect you’re uncapped.”

The executive believes that no other platform in the history of gaming had access to so much computing power.

The Xbox One currently uses the cloud to power systems like the Drivatar in Forza Motorsport 5 and to store content and saves.

Future games for the Microsoft device might also use the feature to improve the intelligence of Artificial Intelligence powered enemies and to expand social elements.
