The development team at Mode 7 announces that it is working on a new game called Frozen Endzone, which is set to use elements of the sports game genre and tactical gameplay.

A gamer will control one team in a randomly generated scenario, aiming to create a plan of movement that can deliver the ball to the enemy team’s endzone, using abilities and stadium terrain to their advantage.

The team states, “It combines the strategic depth of Frozen Synapse with an elegant interface, completely original creative gameplay and a thrilling futuristic aesthetic.”

More information is promised in the coming weeks.

Gamers who like the concept or have played Frozen Synapse can also vote for the new title on Steam Greenlight.

Frozen Endzone is set to launch during 2013 on the PC.
