The in-game event might get hijacked once more, however

Dota 2 developer Valve has confirmed that the really popular title will receive its in-game Frostivus event, or at least some form of winter celebration in following weeks.

Dota 2 has had a troubled past with in-game events, especially since Valve's decision to no longer organize Diretide 2013 on Halloween caused a huge uproar.

With the upcoming winter holidays, Valve is taking no chances and has already confirmed that Frostivus is coming to Dota 2.

The announcement was made on the official website, but don't forget that last year Frostivus was canceled due to the in-game Greevils, who replaced it with Greevling.

The end of the reveal also hints at a possible last-minute change, saying that "There is nothing more to worry about, nothing you need to do. Nothing can possibly go wrong."
