Project Beast, the upcoming medieval fantasy role-playing game from Japanese developer From Software has received a new batch of leaked gameplay footage showing just how closely it follows the Dark Souls recipe.

Quite a lot of big games are going to be revealed for the PlayStation 4 console at E3 2014 next month but among the worst kept secrets is Project Beast, made by From Software, the studio that previously delivered cult hits like Dark Souls 1 and 2, as well as their predecessor, Demon's Souls.

From what we know so far, Project Beast follows mostly the same recipe, delivering a challenging role-playing game experience with different classes and a wide variety of enemies that want to take down players as soon and as brutally as possible.

Now, ahead of the full presentation at E3 2014, a short gameplay video has surfaced online, showing off just how Project Beast looks like right now and how closely it resembles Dark Souls.

As you can see, there are different playable classes and the combat and movement system seem just like the ones from Dark Souls, so it's unclear just how the new title will manage to differentiate itself from its predecessors.

As of right now, neither Sony nor From Software have commented.
