14 DAY TRIAL // Eric Chahi, the French game designer behind iconic title Another World, and the more recent From Dust, has revealed that there aren't any plans for a From Dust 2, at least not right now.
From Dust was released at the end of summer for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as a downloadable title, impressing many with its interesting premise and novel gameplay mechanics.
Now, even though the game was quite successful for both Chahi and Ubisoft, its publisher, the designer told Eurogamer that plans for a From Dust 2 don't exist just yet.
"I would love to do another From Dust, but right now there is no plan," he said. "And also, I have a strong desire to create something very original."
Chahi didn't say just what his next project is about, but he said that, "I want to continue to create systemic worlds and complex systems so that while you're playing you interact with it. A system with emergence. But precisely, I don't know yet."
