The latest issue of Famitsu magazine informs that Freedom Wars will become available for Japanese gamers to enjoy starting June 26.

The game focuses on combat mechanics and is exclusive to the PlayStation Vita handheld gaming system, but so far not much is known about the specifics of its gameplay, and no footage has been released either, so the entire world is curious.

Sony is keeping a tight lid on Freedom Wars, only disclosing the game's story and a couple of additional details regarding its game modes.

People who manage to get their hands on the first print run copies of Freedom Wars will gain access to a Form Wear outfit in game, along with some exclusive weapons such as a special greatsword and a rocket launcher.

Freedom Wars will ship with four modes at launch, and Sony plans to append others via a downloadable update, further down the road. From what has been disclosed so far, players will be able to access the Story, Free Volunteer, 4 Player local multiplayer and City-State War modes at the time the game launches.

At some point after that, Sony plans to deliver an update which will add four additional modes, Infrastructure (which is a fancy name for online multiplayer), 8 Player Multiplayer and PvP modes, with more volunteers to also be added to the game.

Sony mentioned plans regarding an additional update later on, which will add a mode called Ideology War, as Siliconera informs.
