Microsoft has officially confirmed that it's kicking off another free Xbox Live Gold weekend today, April 19, until Monday, April 22, during which all Xbox 360 owners can engage in online multiplayer, access entertainment apps, and even enjoy Double XP bonuses in certain titles.

Microsoft is trying to get more and more people to sign up for its Xbox Live Gold service, which charges a yearly fee but offers access to a variety of benefits, including online multiplayer.

Now, in order to convince more Xbox Live Free users to get into the Gold program, the company is set to begin a free Xbox Live Gold weekend today, April 19.

Until April 22, all Xbox 360 owners in specific countries (U.S., Latin America, Canada, Japan) will be able to access online multiplayer, Video Kinect, and the different entertainment apps available on the online service.

What's more, certain games will also have Double XP bonuses during this weekend, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Assassin's Creed 3, or Far Cry 3, according to Xbox Community Manager Larry Hryb.
