14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has confirmed that this weekend, between Friday, February 14, and Sunday, February 16, will be a free Xbox Live Gold period for Xbox 360 owners in the United States and Canada.
Xbox Live Gold members enjoy quite a few benefits for their premium subscription and, in an effort to get more Silver users to upgrade, Microsoft has confirmed via the blog of Larry Hryb that the upcoming weekend will bring free Gold benefits to Xbox 360 owners in North America.
"If you’ve always wanted to check out the latest entertainment experiences on Xbox 360, now is your chance. Xbox Live Gold member benefits for Xbox 360 will be free for all Xbox Live subscribers from 14-16 February in the U.S. and Canada. During this free Gold weekend, all Xbox Live entertainment apps and online multiplayer gaming will be available for free."
The free Xbox Live Gold weekend kicks off at 12:01 a.m. PT time this Friday, February 14, and ends at 11:59 p.m. PT on Sunday, February 16.
Unfortunately, it's not valid for Xbox One owners or for Xbox 360 users outside of North America.
