14 DAY TRIAL // A brand new downloadable map is now available for Killzone: Shadow Fall on the PlayStation 4, giving owners of the game the chance to get it for free and experience a fresh environment in the multiplayer mode.
Killzone: Shadow Fall launched last year alongside the PlayStation 4, and developer Guerrilla Games has since rolled out quite a lot of different free updates, content packs, and premium expansions.
Now, the studio has just launched a fresh map for the game, in the form of The Canyon, which takes place deep within one of the Petrusite fissures on the planet Helghan.
"The Canyon includes plenty of tight spaces for tense close-quarters combat, as well as more open areas that require quick thinking and sharp shooting. Players preferring a stealthy approach will want to use the narrow routes on the extremes of the map – just don’t get to close to the edge, because it’s a long way down," the developer said on the PS blog.
Besides offering a new environment, The Canyon also brings forth a fresh mechanic in the form of gravity wells, spaces in which the planet's gravity has been distorted and makes players fall upwards to reach different areas.
The new level is now available for download on PS4 via the PlayStation Network. You can check out a video of it in action below.
