Call of Duty: Ghosts owners on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 will be able to try out the Onslaught add-on for free this weekend as part of a special trial organized by Activision and Infinity Ward.

Call of Duty: Ghosts launched back in November, and developer Infinity Ward released quite a few new content packs for the first-person shooter, including the full-fledged Onslaught add-on, which brought forth new maps, a weapon, and more.

Now, for those who've yet to buy the first proper DLC map pack, Activision is organizing a special free trial for the add-on this weekend on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms, via Xbox Live.

Starting on Friday, March 21, at 10am PDT, until Monday, March 24, at 10am PDT, Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners of Call of Duty: Ghosts can download the Onslaught map pack for free.

They'll have full access to the four new competitive multiplayer maps: Bayview, Containment, Fog, and Ignition, as well as to the first episode in the four-part Extinction cooperative story (Nightfall), not to mention the all-new Maverick hybrid rifle.

At the end of the trial, if you enjoyed the add-on, you can buy it via Xbox Live or get the Season Pass, according to the official website.
