14 DAY TRIAL // Battlefield 4 owners who pre-ordered the game to get the free China Rising DLC have found that they can't transfer the add-on from their PS3 or Xbox 360 editions to the PS4 or Xbox One versions.
Battlefield 4 was included by EA in the list of games that could be upgraded from the current-gen consoles to the next-gen ones for a flat fee of 10 USD or EUR.
Unfortunately, it seems that those who get the upgrade aren't able to bring over the China Rising DLC, which they received for free for pre-ordering the game.
According to a big thread over on the EA Answers forums, it seems that EA Support representatives have revealed that there's nothing they can do, as the upgrade doesn't apply to the DLC.
As of yet, neither EA nor DICE has revealed its stance on this controversy.
