14 DAY TRIAL // Phil Spencer, an executive at Microsoft, says that in the future, Forza Horizon might include some elements taken from Project Gotham Racing.
He is quoted by VG247 as saying that, “Forza Horizon is not PGR from an arcade style, but it’s not me sitting on a circuit running lap after lap. It’s more of an open world. There’s maybe an opportunity for us to look at some of the stuff that worked in PGR.”
It’s unclear whether Microsoft has plans to make Forza the only Xbox One-exclusive racing franchise and what parts of Project Gotham Racing are the most attractive to modern players.
Spencer suggests that he thought the Kudos system to be the most interesting mechanic.
Forza Motorsport 5 is one of the launch games for the Xbox One, which will be offered alongside the platform on November 22.
A new Horizon title has not yet been officially announced.
