The development team at Epic Games is continuing to work on Fortnite, although the game does not yet have an official launch date, and a new trailer for it is designed to show how the core concepts have progressed.

The experience is designed to encourage players to work together using a variety of characters, trying to prepare for and then withstand the attack of powerful enemies.

The studio says that it is also working on a Mac version of the video game and that they will reveal some more details about the title in the coming months.

A full closed beta for Fortnite will be launched later in 2015, and it seems that more players will be able to experience the core gameplay early next year.

Epic Games wants to offer the entire title under a free-to-play business model, with gamers only able to play for cosmetic and convenience items.

Fortnite will also include a Player versus Player mode, which will accommodate up to ten players.

During the past few years, Epic Games has mostly focused on the development of the Unreal Engine 4 tech and the cooperative shooter is the first major video game that the company plans to create using its own tools.
