Epic Games has confirmed that it won't be bringing Fortnite, its long awaited Unreal Engine 4-powered game, to E3 2013 next month, although the studio's Vice President, Mark Rein, revealed that work is progressing really well on the title.

Epic Games has showcased its Unreal Engine 4 technology with a variety of demonstrations in the last year or so, but many gamers are looking forward to Fortnite, the special title that's being developed by the studio using the new engine.

While more details were supposed to start surfacing in the past few months, things have been silent, and now Epic's Mark Rein has confirmed on Twitter that Fortnite won't be showcased at E3 2013 next month.

According to the executive, there are no plans to show off Fortnite, but he did say that work on the project is "coming along amazingly well."

As of yet, it's becoming increasingly less likely to see Fortnite appear this year for PC or other platforms.
