Virtual managers actually have an easier job

Football Manager 2015 is the video game that tends to take up most of my time during a calendar year, and the simulation title manages to attract a very dedicated fan base that can nitpick even the smallest elements of the title.

Fans have been complaining about the high injury rates in the video game, which can sometimes derail the best-laid plans and can make a competitive team underperform.

Now the leader of the development team at Sports Interactive has posted data which shows that the average injury rate for a team per season is 27.

It seems that for real world teams engaged in the Premier League the number is 49.

This means that Football Manager 2015 is actually more lenient on the manager and gives them more chances to use their best players in crucial matches.

To create a full analysis, fans would also need to have access to other data, including the length of the injury periods and the impact they have on the actual starting eleven for every team.

Sports Interactive is probably at the moment done with the development of Football Manager 2015 and is already exploring new ideas for this year's installment of the franchise.
