Gamers get a new tactics system and a better 3D match engine

Developer Sports Interactive and publisher SEGA announce that they are officially working on Football Manager 2014, which is set to launch before Christmas of this year and will come complete with 1,000 improvements over the previous version of the sim.

The biggest changes include a better 3D match engine, with more graphical cues and better overall quality, as well as more realism in the transfer market and for contracts, according the team’s Twitter feed.

At the same time, the entire tactics section of Football Manager 2014 is getting overhauled and more interaction is introduced between staff, coaches and rivals.

The user interface is also getting improvements from the developers at Sports Interactive and it seems that the Classic mode is also being reworked.

FM 2014 will also have more community features and tech improvements.

More details about each characteristic will be offered in coming developer diaries from the studio.

The game is apparently set to be offered on the PC before Christmas.

A beta will be launched about two weeks earlier, available to those who pre-order, and saves will carry over.
