Larry Hryb, aka Major Nelson, the communication lead for the Xbox family of devices, says that the first major firmware update for the Xbox One might be delayed even more and that he is not yet ready to offer a firm launch date.

On Reddit, he states that, “I don’t have all the details. Things are moving quickly and all the teams are working extra hard. I don’t really like giving dates either. Too risky.”

The first firmware update was supposed to arrive on February 11 and is designed to improve local storage control and add a new battery marker to the home screen.

A bigger update is expected to arrive on March 4 and should make some important changes to the party system and the matchmaking in order to prepare the device for the launch of Titanfall, from Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts.
