14 DAY TRIAL // Fans of the original Planetside MMO from Sony Online Entertainment will be able to enjoy the game for free starting in April of this year, according to the company, but there are no more plans to add more content to the title.

The first Planetside still has a solid fan base and the switch to free-to-play might make the game more attractive to players in the long term.
SOE has launched a sequel which is currently available on the PC and is expected to be also launched on the PlayStation 4 home console before the end of the year, although there are no plans to offer support for cross-platform play.
Planetside 2 will get a new continent as part of a coming content update.
