Fire Emblem, the upcoming turn-based strategy title coming from Nintendo for its 3DS handheld device, has just received its first gameplay video, showcasing the new game, as well as its fights and cinematics.

The Fire Emblem series of video games has impressed quite a lot of Nintendo fans over the years, so the company is getting ready to deploy it onto the 3DS handheld platform next year.

We already heard that the game will be the first to have support for downloadable content on the 3DS, and now Nintendo has presented a gameplay video, which shows off the upcoming strategy title in all its glory, from the actual fights to the impressive cinematics, not to mention its in-game map and travel system.

Fire Emblem fans might not see quite a lot of enhancements over previous versions, but it’s expected for Nintendo to add a few enhanced visual effects, including the 3D one to take advantage of the 3DS’ special autostereoscopic screen.

Expect more details in the near future about Fire Emblem. Until then, check out the video above.
