Video game publisher Square Enix is confirming that Final Fantasy XV is now in development and will be launched on the next-gen PlayStation 4 from Sony and the current-gen PS3.

The company released a trailer for the game during the E3 2013 Sony press conference, but it did not offer any sort of information on the story or other details.

In terms of overall look, Final Fantasy XIV is pretty similar to the original vision that Square Enix had for FF XIII Versus.

Initially, the title was set to be part of Fabula Nova Crystallis, but it has been repeatedly delayed as rumors emerged that the team had trouble delivering the vision of the game that was originally shown.

Final Fantasy XV does not currently have an official launch date and more information will be offered in the coming weeks.
